I went to Smile Doctors and Dr. De La Fuente for 3 years of Invisalign. The doctor and all of his assistants are amazingly friendly, accommodating, and efficient! I moved cities and but still came back to Austin for my orthodontic work. You will not regret getting your teeth done here!
I have been very pleased with Smile Doctors since they took over my treatments last year. My son is also now a patient and I recently had a friend who I referred sign up with them as well. I really like their energy and they are perfectionist so I know once my son's and my treatments are done, our teeth will be perfect!
I got braces a couple of years back and when I got them off I asked him to put a permanent retainer behind my teeth so they didn't shift and also so I did not have to wear the clear, plastic retainer every night for the rest of my life. Well, he said he didn't "believe" in the permenant retainer.
All of my other friends who got braces at the same time I did, for one they had their actual braces on for a shorter period of time, for 2 they got the permanent retainer so they never had to mess with the clear retainer AND their teeth are still perfectly straight (even though they got their braces off years ago, just like me)
This was Hodgkins Orthodontics before. Loved the way the new team from Smile Doctors managed the transition of my daughter from Hodgkins to Dr. Julio De La Fuente. He is amazing and explains each procedure with lot of patience. My daughter's treatment was long drawn due to the complexity of her dental structure. It took 4 yrs. But very happy with the results. Would highly recommend Smile Doctors and their super friendly staff.
Seriously....just don't do it. Save your money, time and sanity.
BEYOND frustrated with the head orthodontics Dr. here. My teeth are crooked, wasted money, time and years of having braces for nothing. I never, never write reviews but this just makes me so agitated I had to make sure no one else went through the same thing.
This was decent when Dr Hodgkins ran it. Since Smile Savers took over, I do not recommend going there. The office is only staffed every other week. If you call for an appointment to smile savers number they can't access your records...so no appointment. And the office closes at noon on Fridays. Cathy is still at the front desk but that is the only positive left from the old office.
Do not go here.....absolute waste of money. All those years or having braces for nothing, wearing the retainer for nothing and now I am about to have to go back to a different orthodontist, pay a lot of money so he can finally fix my teeth and then put the permanent retainer behind them after they are straight.
Fast forward years down the road and I am so so disappointed with the service I received here. Not only do I STILL have to wear the plastic retainer (which I have lost 2 times and it cost $250 to replace it each time) BUT my teeth aren't even straight anymore. The clear retainers are so annoying to wear every night (definitely after years of wearing it.....) plus it gets nasty and I have to clean it very regularly plus it stretched out because my teeth shifted even though I wear it regularly.
