I was a customer for two years here but I'm sorry to say that I will not be coming back and I will no longer be referring my customers to this establishment (I work for a pet store) as I would not want them to make the drive down there and experience the same thing happen to them.
I speak up and ask if she had checked me in yet, even though she couldn't find me in their system. She replied that no, she had not and that she would have to ask the vet to see if I could be seen. Mind you, all my dog and I were there for was his yearly vaccines (just two immunizations). She walks to the back and at this point it is 3:25 and the 3:20 appointment shows up.
Don't make an appointment here without calling in advance before you leave your house on the day of, just to make sure they actually put you in their schedule.
I love Affordable Pet Care! Things must have improved since the two negative reviews. Dr. Thompson is wonderful with our four legged kids and explains everything in a language I can understand. He takes his time and I believe him and his staff really care about my "kids". If there is a serious issue that requires x-rays or surgery, Dr. Thompson can handle at the other clinic he works at, Cedar Park Animal Clinic. It is a relief to have someone I trust caring for my "kids". If you happen to call and get the recording, they have only stepped away from the front desk for a moment. They will call you back promptly. I highly recommend Affordable Pet Care.
A lady came in and started talking to the front desk woman and said that she had an appointment for 3:50 but was wondering if she checked in now if she could be seen before then. The lady at the front desk said sure just let me check you in. If you can get someone in almost 30 minutes before their scheduled appointment, then why can you not get my dog in? Especially since it is NOT my fault that the person did not schedule my appointment like they said that they had when I called on Wednesday.
Great place to go! Very affordable and quick service for routine exams. The doc was great and my "kids" were shown a lot of affection and attention. Everyone here was really friendly. I will definitely be back.
I called on Wednesday, made an appointment for Friday at 3:20. When I got there on Friday at 3:12 the woman working at the front desk said that she couldn't find me in their system. She told me that they had a 3:20 appointment but it was for someone else. At this point it was already 3:17 (there was a 3 person line when I walked in) and she told me I could wait and see if the 3:20 appointment comes in because "sometimes people just don't show up."
Very friendly staff both front and back. Doctor was very professional and friendly.
I take my dogs to Dr. Thompson for over 10 years. We LOVE Dr. Thompson !!!! He is the best Dr. In town !!! Thank you so much for taking good care of my dogs !!! Saving my dogs life's all the time !!! You are really God given honest , kind , very professional Doctor !!! Thank you and God bless you for all you do!
Needless to say she came back and said no we cannot see you today, and said it in way like I was just someone who decided to walk in and not call in advance to make an appointment; no apology at all. I even made sure on my cell phone that it was their number that I called on Wednesday and double checked with the front desk woman that it was indeed their number and still got no apology. She did not even offer to make me an appointment for a different day.
