You put EVERY SINGLE RECRUIT in severe life threatening risk. There were ambulances there, I wonder how many you lost because of the heat to heat exhaustion, heat stroke or worse. I hope to got you have enough common sense to follow up with those recruits. Your testing practices leave a lot to be desired, watching those poor men and women suffer was heart wrenching!

I would rate them a 0 if I could. I have had to deal with the cedar park police dept three times and each time the officers were very rude. The first time I dealt with them I called them to have them let me into my sisters apartment where my mom had been living but moved out to live with me. My mother had just gotten out of rehab and decided to move in with me and needed to get her medicine and clothes out of my sisters apartment. My sister was not home but came home and the officer let my mom in to get her stuff but would not let me in to help. They had an officer stand guard over me to make sure I did not go in. They treated me like a criminal. Then I had to call them again because my mom went to spend one night with my sister and my sister did not bring her home the next day. My mom did not take enough medicine with her to be gone fir more than one day. I called CPPD to have them personally tell my mom that she did not have enough medicine with her. They never called me back to let me know they went and checked in her. When I called back and talked to the officer who went and checked on her he was very rude to me on the phone. This is a 73 year old woman who has dementia and other serious health problems. She did not have enough medication for more than one day but my sister and my mom both told the officer that she had all the medicine she needed and the officer would not listen to me when I tried to explain that she did not have her medicine with her.

SHAME ON YOU!

There is a very big difference between weeding out the weak, and abuse.... you crossed that line today!

Even the military don't perform pt or fitness tests in the peak of the afternoon in maximum heat, in TEXAS!!!!

Concerned Citizens

A lot of the reviews down below complaining about the officers are totally wrong. The people who wrote them most likely are low life junky's or alcoholics causing trouble for the community. The CPPD are a good police force. As with every police department they have room for improvement, but are very skilled at what they do.

Cedar Park Police Department,Training Program and Leadership,

Every one of those recruits should be allowed the opportunity to re-test in an appropriate time of the day, as to not put their lives at risk.

All physical activity for testing should be conducted early in the morning or evening time. I was ashamed to see this and felt so sorry for the recruits. What was your follow up to those recruits, have you checked on the ones that suffered heat stroke or exhaustion???? If not, that is a legal liability!

Witnessed new recruits out taking the fitness test between 1-3pm today!

Two wonderful officers arrived on a domestic violence case and were extremely compassionate and empathetic towards those involved. There couldn’t have been a more perfect way to help those who needed the help. Glad we have them on our police dept

Are you CRAZY! It was over 100 degrees outside with a very high humidity.

The city puts themselves at risk for causing death by doing this. Is this really how you treat new recruit candidates?

Most of the bad reviews are from the wrong side of the law. Next time your in trouble call one of your buddys, dealers, or friends to come direct traffic, get into to your friends house (remember the cops don't know you from adam and trusting your"word" letting you in. If only cops had esp and knew bad from good. If 9only they didn't have to worry about the fact that Texas is a right to carry state.
